Tiger Airways $1 fares? Whatever.
So this week we were trying to book fares to Queensland because of the $1 flights promo with Tiger Airways. Sure enough, the flight up was only $1 and the flight back was roughly $60. Seemed like a good deal. So I went to book and eventually got to the final payment summary. Everything seemed to add up, except that Tiger tacked on an extra $60 to the total. I double checked the flight details and fees. Aha! There was the extra $60 listed under "Convenience Fee". WTF? So I looked it up. Apparently the "Convenience Fee" gets tacked on whenever you book using a credit card. How totally BS. To be honest, I think it'd be more work for Tiger if we didn't pay via credit card online. They'd have to waste money sending out invoices and printed tickets. There just always seems to be a catch, doesn't there?

In other news, came home today with a MacBook Pro. It's sexy. Just trying to get used to using new shortcut keys after more than 10 years of using PCs.
